Cellulous Attic Insulation

Cellulose attic insulation comes in different colors but after awhile, most of this insulation will start to accumulate dust and dirt and turn brown like the picture above. This insulation has its advantages and disadvantages over other insulations.

Not many though, it's a good product and I would recommend it.

Inch per inch most cellulose fiber has a slightly higher R-Value than fiberglass insulation and fits in to small crevices and cracks easier. One of the only disadvantages I can think of as a remodeling contractor would be during demolition, this stuff makes a mess.

New cellulose attic insulation can be installed using a reverse vacuum like machine or can be spread around the attic quite easily.

The machine will blow the insulation throughout the attic ceiling area and into tight crevices or areas that are difficult to access.
