Wood Post Replacement Supports

Make sure that the structural beam that the post is supporting has additional supports underneath it, before working on removing and replacing the damaged wood post.

Where using a hydraulic jack to lift the structural supporting beam up so that the damaged wood post can be removed and replaced easily.

Home Repair Tip: If you're replacing structural damage to wood posts that are holding up large sections of the building, you should use screw jacks, just in case the hydraulic jack broke under the pressure.
